- Point your browser to www.flickr.com/signup
- Click on the ‘Sign up Now’ buttonIf you have a Yahoo ID, enter your details in the appropriate fields. If you do not have a Yahoo ID, click the ‘Sign Up’ button.
- Make sure you fill in all the fields. Have a good security question with an easy answer, just in case you forget your password. When you’re done make sure you click below “I Agree”.
- Now YOUR READY FOR FLICKR.
- Go to the url bar up top and type in www.flickr.com
- You’ll be taken to Flickr’s homepage where you need to click the sign in link on the top right.
Enter in your new Yahoo! ID and Password
- It will ask you to either make a new Flickr account OR merge your yahoo account with an existing Flickr account. It’s eaiser just to hit merge, since they run with each other.
- At the bottom of the intro page the first time you sign in and the top right from here on out you’ll see a My Account link. You use this to make changes to your account and set up features such as groups, contacts and privacy settings.
- To share your flickr site with others,by default, your flickr address (site where all your photos are hosted) is flickr.com followed by a ton of numbers. If the numbers is to confusing for others to follow or you want to make it a little more personal you can do this: click on the ‘Create your own memorable Flickr web address! link. BUT PLEASE BECAREFUL!!! ONCE YOU SET A PERSONAL NAME YOU NEED TO MAKE SURE YOU’RE HAPPY WITH THIS BECAUSE YOU CAN NOT GO BACK AND CHANGE IT. YOU’RE STUCK WITH IT AS LONG AS YOU HAVE THIS ACCOUNT.
- Now you’re ready to upload your photos.Click on the ‘You’ button on the top left under the Flickr logo. Click on the Browse button for a photo you want to upload. You will then be able to give it a title, description and tags. Save it and you’ll be taken to your photo, that’s it, it is that simple, repeat, repeat, repeat.
- NOW ENJOY YOUR FLICKR ACCOUNT AND SHARE WITH THE WORLD.
